Susan is a certified public accountant and financial executive who enjoys looking for creative ways to solve everyday challenges in finance and accounting. She has a 20+ year track record of serving small to mid-size entrepreneurial companies in the capacity of CFO, Director at American Express, Controller at Pinnacle Financial Corporation, and VP of Finance & Controller at Old Second National Bank.
Susan’s career began with one of the "Big 8" accounting firms and quickly moved into banking, mortgage-banking and fast-growing, entrepreneurial companies in the technology, e-commerce and financial services sectors. Susan has earned degrees in Bank Management at the University of Virginia, Accounting at the University of Hawaii and attended the University of Wisconsin.
Currently, Susan is a volunteer Treasurer at two non-profit organizations, a SCORE Mentor, and serves at her Church. Along with being a wife and mother of 2 adopted girls, Susan is also a US Air Force Veteran and a graduate of the University of Hawaii. She understands and thrives in the fast-paced entrepreneurial and small business environments and enjoys helping small businesses grow and excel.
